레게(Reggae)리듬에 소울(Soul)적인 보컬을 조화시키는 특별한 재능을 가진 흑인 가수로 1972년 싱글 차트에 연4주동안 1위를 차지한 레게음악의 원조곡중 하나인 " I Can See Clearly Now " 로도 유명하다.
