영화에도 출현 1957년에 Bernadine과 April Love를 시작으로 Mardi Gras, Journey to the Center of the Earth, All Hands on Deck등 15편에 주연했다.

또한 영화음악 으로 10주간 빌보드 1위한 " you light up my life"을 부른 여가수 데비 분(Debbie Boone)은 바로 그의 딸이다.

그는 1955년 Two Hearts부터 1960년 July You`re A Woman에 이르기 까지 60곡의 히트 싱글을 냈다.
